About

The Sneak was my first attempt at creating an animated piece synchronized with dialogue. I wanted to focus on designing captivating characters and building an immersive world while also expanding my animation skills. To add a unique touch, I deliberately chose dialogue that was intentionally vague, allowing me to create an intriguing narrative of my own. Once I had the dialogue and story in place, I then proceeded to develop the color palette and character design.

This project was full of firsts for me. It was the first time I truly immersed myself into character design, taking time to create engaging key poses.

During this stage, my main goal was to find the perfect balance between the characters' movements, ensuring the viewer wouldn't be bombarded with too much action at once. It took a few rounds of trial and error to really make it sing.

Once I nailed down all the key poses and fine-tuned the character design, I moved on to creating my dope sheet. This involved meticulously determining the timing for each sound and sketching out all the different mouth poses within a timeline.

Overall, this project was incredibly fulfilling for me. It gave me a deeper appreciation for every single step involved in the process and taught me just how much goes into crafting dialogue animation.
